Pete and Susan, we are so sorry for yur loss. I remember your Mom as one of the nicest and most patient people I have ever met. I was proud to call her a relative. The last time I saw her in August of 2006 she was still baking pies and always opened her door with a smile. The inperssion she left on me and my son will be everlasting. Sophie made everyone feel welcome and also made them feel that they had a freind. She will be sorely missed, but always rememvbered by those who met and knew her. she just made heaven a better place.Grit's son Bill
Dear Pete, Susie and Family...I have so many fond memories at your mom's home. This time of the year I remember her keeping her Christmas Tree up forever for the kids and grandkids. She was so warm and caring to all. I'm sure she will be at peace with Our Lord, Rudy and Rudy John. They too were missed by all. Your in my thoughts and prayers.. (Selma)
Dear Susie, Pete and families,
So sorry to hear of the death of Sophie. We were out of town so were unable to attend her wake and funeral. I worked with her for many years at C. J. Sullivan and have so many great memories of her and the good times we had together. She was one great lady who was not afraid of work. I am so sorry I did not get a chance to visit with her before she passed away, but she was not up to having company when I called her.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. She is at peace and with Rudy and Rudy John.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all
Sophie was a wonderful mother and wife. She was a shining example of how one should live one's life close to God and at the same time enjoy life. She was there for me when my mother died in 1993. It was her arms that held me as we both said good-by. We laughed a lot together and she was another mother there for me, when I needed her. I have many wonderful memories of her and her family. Dear Susan,Peter and families...I was saddened to hear of Sophie's passing. But reading the obituary this morning I realized what a long, wonderful life she had. I haven't seen her in almost 30 years, but the memories of her warmth, great cooking and fun personality will remain with me forever. My condolences to all of you. I know you'll miss her.
As a neighbor of Sophie's for many years...we want to extend our sympathy to her family. I have one very clear memory of Sophie that really hit home. She had come over to our home collecting a donation for a good cause and while she was here, she told me she was able to tell when a woman was pregnant even before the woman knew.....the eyes had a certain shine or sparkle to them. Well, lo and behold, I found I was pregant with my second child shortly after her visit. I remembered what she had told me, and I knew she knew before I did. She was a special lady.
With sympathy, Carol and Pat Marinich
