CALVIN E. NABER, 76, of Grand Blanc, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2005 at Genesys Health Park. He was born in Iron Mountain, MI. on July 1, 1928 son of the late Warren and Otila (Younggren) Naber. Calvin married the former Katherine Darby in Bunceton, Missouri. He served in the United States Army. Calvin was a professional Land Surveyor, and worked for Gould Engineering, he later formed his own business called Naber Land Surveying. Mr. Naber is survived by his wife, Katherine; 3 daughters, Nancy (Scott) Ferguson of Rochester, Susan (William) Swift of Rochester, and Cindy (Mark) Locey of Grand Blanc; 2 sons, Cliff of Walnut Creek, Ca., and Eric of Grand Blanc; grandchildren, Alex, Adam, and Madison Ferguson, Billy, Kayce, Samantha, and Sophia Swift, Ben, and Ella Locey; sister-in-law, Aletha Naber of Millington, brother-in-law, Foster, sister-in-law, Roselia Sisson of Bonneville, MO.; nieces and nephews, Nan Reed, Diane Beck, Scott Naber, Dale Naber and Monica Beck, Jeff and Terri Sisson; special friends, Fritz and Lorraine Beauprey of Sidnaw, MI. His beloved pet Bailey also survives. Funeral services for Mr. Naber were held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 21, 2005 from Kirkridge Presbyterian Church, Grand Blanc with Reverend Glenn Grant officiating. Spring interment will take place in the Sidnaw Cemetery. The family received friends on Saturday February 19, 2005 from 4 until 8 p.m. and Sunday February 20, 2005 from 1 until 4 p.m. at the Swartz Funeral Home in Grand Blanc. The Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L’Anse is assisting with local arrangements.
