My late brother, Frank Vance, Jr., from Tennessee, absolutely loved and adored Jim, Sharon, their family and friends! Our late mother, Ava Vance, always said, "Frank, Jr., when preparing to go bear hunting in L'Anse, is like a little boy getting ready for a big birthday party!" He would always say, "If it were not for you family members, I would move to L'Anse! Oh, how he would have loved Jim's video! He would have had us playing it over and over! Our family has sent a Memorial to Milligan University in Jim's Memory; so that, students studying to be servant leaders will be able to do for their communities, as all of you in L'Anse have done!
Such a beautiful tribute to Jim. He was an amazing man who absolutely loved his family. He was bigger than life with so many stories that got better each time I heard them. He will truly be missed. God bless your family our deepest condolences for your loss. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
