Joanne was always so upbeat and positive about everything. It was a joy to talk to her every time I went back to Michigan.
Though it's been nearly half a century since I last saw her, I fondly remember Mrs. Hill possessing what might be the rarest of qualities: somehow making you feel special when in her presence. In fact, I can count on one finger those to whom I attribute this near magical glow. And she seemed to be forever smiling. 'Tis our world's loss. My condolences to all the Hills from days gone by.
