I was so sorry to read Duke in the L'Anse Sentinel. I did not know him, I am a cousin to Babs, through my Father, Robert Steinbach. (He died in 1995 and my Mother, Anne Steinbach died this past March)It's hard when a loved one dies. You cry for them and remember the times you had together. Roberta Steinbach Cybulski.

Just wanted to send my sympathies to you and your family. It was such a pleasure to stay with all of you in White Pine for the basketball tournaments. A group of people that I will never forget and your kindness will always be appreciated.
To Bridget and family: We were sorry to hear about the loss of "Duke", and we send our heartfelt sympathy and condolences. I worked w/him when I was in the Keweenaw and Houghton Co. DSS offices. He was always wity and had a positive and friendly attitude with everyone. We are the family who finally ended up with your dog, "Puppers", and we know it wasn't easy for you to part with him. Duke always said that Puppers was quite attached to Jacqueline, and whenever we mentioned her name, he would perk up and listen, although it may have been confusing to him, at times. He gave us many years of joy. Your entire family will be in our prayers.

He always would keep one in stiches and was never lost for words. Our memories of him will always be happy and bring a smile to our face. He is at peace but will be missed by many. Dear briget and Family, I am so sorry I did not find out in time when the services for Duke were held. However I hope that you will accept my sincerest Condolences. I knew duke for many years and always admired him as everyone who knew him did. One thing I am sure of is that he is in the company of the Lord and others who preceded him, and is now in that place of love and peace forever. May god bless you with his love.

Bridgee and Family: I was shocked and saddened to hear about Duke. I got to know him 20 years ago when I went to work for his cousin Gary at State Farm. He used to come in the office and visit with Gary and the two of them would have me in stitches, he was very funny. He was a great guy and will be missed by so many.
