Dear Martha, It is very sad to lose a longtime-childhood friend. My sister-in-law and brother live in Houghton and sent me the obit. I do cherish the summers I spent in Nisula at my grandparents' farm with you and Vivian when we were kids and have even written about it in a writing group. I just went over my Christmas list from last year and Vivian's note said she was getting ready to move to L'Anse.
