He is a huge loss to our children and I will miss him as well. Always got a kick out of his "grumpiness", which wasn't really true. He was a wonderful guy and I will miss him as well.

I am so sorry for your loss. Dad will be missed . He was such a kind man.
You and yours are in my thought and prayers.

Alan and I were good friends in elementary school. We shared a seat on the bus and were active during recess and lunch hours: sliding down iced hills, throwing spears off the red school hills, and forming a gang of Aura boys for protection against older, bigger bullies. In high school and later we weren’t close, but after we retired we connected again: deer hunting, playing poker, fishing, and enjoying Pointe Abbaye. We talked about many subjects, often disagreeing. We were both certain of being right. He was a good hunter and fisherman, a skilled worker, and a very good friend. I’ll miss him. God bless you, Crank.

We just saw Alan at our 60th LHS Class Reunion. We were shocked to learn of his sudden passing. Our deepest sympathies to Alan’s family.

He and i would play basketball in the Aura Hall when we were kids. He was born two months before I was on June 4 which was two days before the invasion of Normandy.
