Although I've been gone from the L'Anse area since 1976, I knew Al's dad in high school and my youngest daughter is the same age. My heart is broken for his family, community and world, to see such a wonderful person taken from this earth much too soon. Prayers for healing and continuing with his memories in your hearts. My deepest sympathies.
I knew Al through our mutual love of Rally. Al acquired my passion project "Rexine" and he was gracious enough to share his love of Rally and send me news of his Rally successes driving Rexine. I came to respect and admire Al very much, although I never met him in person. I could see his absolute love for his family through the pictures he posted.
I am very saddened by his tragic death and hope that your family finds some relief in his memory and his love for his family.
