Dear Jackie, Over the past decade of getting to know your Aunt Alyce,
Ken & I learned quickly how loving, kind & welcoming she was. We love that she adopted us into the family.. Aunt Alyce's love for sweets & Polish food was a strong bond between us. I'm not sure whether she loved her birthday cakes from Roy's Bakery or all of the sweets you baked for her more. All of the Polish meals that Aunt Alyce & your Dad loved made it hard to believe they were French. What we witnessed this past five years of navigating through her cancer treatments during a pandemic has been very hard to process & hard on both of you. Aunt Alyce voiced you were like a Daughter to her but more than that encouraging her to Trust the Lord meant so much and gave her hope. She was so thankful you didn't leave her to figure it out. Aunt Alyce's will to live was unbelievable. We know it was because of how well you cared for her. We are so sorry for your loss. Praying Jesus holds you close at this sad time & praying for all who loved her.
Alyce was a friend and neighbor. Also a mutual horse lover. Deepest sympathy to her family and friends. May she rest in peace.
Alice was the absolute kindest and will be missed! I'll always cherish the memories Sheila and I shared with her growing up.Conveniently she lived down the road from my grandpa Gerry’s house and we would ride our bikes over to see her often. She was a lover of animals and would let us come over anytime to play with them. Several horses, a goat, geese, dogs, and many cats. Was never a dull moment. Alyce and her mother Dorthy had major sweet tooth’s. They taught us how to make Angelfood cake and we would pick berries from the yard to top it off with homemade jam. We’d sit on the porch swing and admire the beautiful flowers planted throughout the yard. Played many board games and dice at tables. I loved listening to them talk about stories from back in the day. Such a welcoming and warm feeling whenever she was around. I appreciate the patience and kindness she always showed us. You’ll be be missed cousin Alyce ❤️
