Andrew M."Andy" Johnson's Obituary
Andrew M. “Andy” Johnson age 71 of L’Anse, MI passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Bayside Village, L’Anse. He was born in Calumet, MI on January 15, 1952 the son of the late Carl and Verna (Johnson) Johnson. Andy graduate from, Baraga High School. He had worked at the former Bears Den as a dishwasher. Andy was a member of Most Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. He had bowled for the Mens Bowling League, enjoyed polka dancing, mowing the grass, and watching old time westerns.
Andy survived by his loving family; brothers Jerome (Sandy) Johnson of Rabbit Bay, MI, Carl “Cookie” (Kim) Johnson of Hancock, Della (Bob) Beach of Keweenaw Bay, and Karen (Clayton) Harris of Perkins, MI. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a niece Shelly Beach.
A private family celebration of Andy’s life will be held.
The Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L’Anse has been entrusted with the arrangements.
