Anna M Swartz's Obituary
Anna M. Swartz, age 84, of L’Anse passed away Monday, April 3, 2017 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital, L’Anse. She was born in Baraga, Michigan on June 3, 1932, the daughter of the late Albert “Chink” and Edna (Swanson) Wallin. Anna graduated from Baraga High School in 1950. She married William “Bill” Swartz in Baraga on October 30, 1953. Anna was a member of Zeba Indian Mission United Methodist Church. She enjoyed knitting, quilting, and was happy taking care of her family.
Anna is survived by her loving and devoted husband Bill, sons Bruce (Valerie) Swartz and Gary (Diane Koskela) Swartz, grandchildren Brian, Stephanie and Anna, great grandchild Brielle Grace and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son Brian.
Funeral services for Anna were held at 12 p.m.on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L’Anse with Reverend Steve Rhoades officiating. The family greeted friends at the funeral chapel on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Immediately following the funeral service, the family invited friends to join them for fellowship and a luncheon in the Harrington Gathering room, located at the funeral chapel.
