ARTHUR W. KETOLA's Obituary
ARTHUR W. KETOLA, 89, of Swan Point Road, and formerly of Watton, MI. passed away at Cheshire Medical Center in Keene, NH. on Monday, November 10, 2003. He was born in Watton, MI. on July 22, 1914 son of the late Jacob and Edla (Salo) Ketola. Arthur married the former Helen Anna Autio in 1940. She preceded him in death in 1985. He had lived in Rindge, NH. for the past ten years, moving from Watton, MI. Arthur was a self-employed mason, logger, and farmer. He was a member of the Watton Apostolic Lutheran Church and has a host of brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ.
Mr. Ketola is survived by two sons; Walter A. (Elvi) and Warren R. (Pirjo-Liisa) Ketola both of Rindge, NH., three daughters; Lorraine (Nathan) Olson of Rindge, NH., Brenda (Roderick) Hannu of Ironwood, MI., and Bernice (Roger) Somero of New Ipswich, NH, 39 grandchildren, 86 great-grandchildren, two brothers; Ralph Ketola of Mason, MI. and Reino Ketola of Gwinn, MI., four sisters; Dagmar Rintamaki and Linda Cattron both of Negaunee, MI., Esther (Raynold) Lepola of Marquette, MI., and Dagnie Carlson of Livonia, MI. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by four brothers and six sisters.
Funeral services for Mr. Ketola were held at 12:00 noon., Saturday, November 15, 2003 at the Watton Apostolic Lutheran Church with James Johnson, Raynold Lepola and David Lappi officiating. Interment took place in the Covington Cemetery. The family received friends on Friday evening, November 14, 2003 from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L’Anse and 1 hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday.
