BERTHA A. RANTANEN's Obituary
Rantanen, Bertha A. (nee Aho) of Milwaukee, formerly of Baraga, MI. Passed away peacefully on Mon., July 21, 2014, at the age of 96 years. Beloved wife of the late Hector. Loving mother of Jay Rantanen, Marie (Richard) Castle and Jerry (Reggie) Rantanen. Proud grandma of Nicole Nodland, Sara Rantanen, Sheri (Scott) Winter, Marsha Hughes and Cyndi Castle. Great-grandmother of Ashley, Blair and Erica Winter, Brandon, Jessica, Adam and Sara Hughes and Grace and Christopher Castle. Great-great grandmother of Cooper Hill. Dear sister of Ellen Rider. Also loved and survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Bertha and Hector were charter members of Redemption Ev. Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. She and Hector were also active in the Finnish American Society and dancers with the Finnish Folk Dancing Group and the Swedish American Dance Group.
Visitation will be held on Wed., July 23 from 11:00 AM, until time of service at 12:00 PM at REDEMPTION EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5641 N. 68th Street, Milwaukee. Burial will take place on Fri., July 25 at 12:00 PM at Baraga Village Cemetery, Upper Michigan at 12:00PM. Please meet directly at the cemetery.
