Brandon R Olson's Obituary
Brandon Ray Olson, 20, of Pelkie, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, October 3, 2017 in Marquette, MI. He was born in Hancock on July 26, 1997 the son of Brian and Cynthia (Ellenich) Olson. Brandon graduated from Chassell High School in 2015 and was pursuing his certification in the Lineman program at Northern Michigan University. Brandon loved making beats and listening to music. He made friends where ever he went and always had a smile on his face. Brandon always made people feel welcomed and comfortable. He played soccer and baseball in his younger days.
Brandon is survived by his parents Brian and Cynthia Olson of Pelkie, his sisters Nyomie Olson of Houghton and Shelby Olson of Pelkie, his niece Aubrey Renee of Houghton, grandparents Tom and Nancy Olson of Hancock, Doris and John Mayo of L’Anse and Gary and Alicia Ellenich of Lower Michigan, great grandma Elizabeth Holzman of L’Anse, uncles David Olson of Howard, Wisconsin, Tom Olson of Florida, Michael Olson of Hancock and other uncles, his aunt Jennifer Olson of Hancock, great uncle Leslie Haataja of Elo and his special great aunt Hilja Kokko of Arnheim. He is also survived by many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his uncle Gary Ellenich.
A memorial service for Brandon was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L'Anse with Pastor Jesse Aho officiating. Family greeted friends at the funeral chapel on Saturday from 12 noon until the time of the memorial service.
Interment took place in the Elo Cemetery.
