CANDACE L. "CANDY" COLLINS's Obituary
CANDACE L. “CANDY” COLLINS, 45, of L'Anse, MI. passed away Monday, March 10, 2008 at Marquette General Hospital where she had been a patient for a week. She was born in L'Anse on November 27, 1962, the daughter of Gary and Geraldine (Herrala) VanHaecke. Candy attended school in L'Anse. She enjoyed fishing, knitting and crocheting.
Candy is survived by her loving children, Jeremy Collins of L'Anse, Jerod Collins of L'Anse, Jesse Collins of L'Anse, Jake (Lee Ann) Collins of Lake Linden, Bobby Tembreull of Escanaba, Kyle Chagnon of Niagara, WI. and Ashley Collins of Westland, MI., grandchild, Christian of Lake Linden, mother, Geraldine VanHaecke of L'Anse, and brothers, Jesse VanHaecke of L'Anse, and Camiel VanHaecke of Kinross, MI. She is also survived by a niece and nephew and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her father.
A memorial service for Candy was held at 11 am. Monday, March 17, 2008 from the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L'Anse with Pastor Jerry Bishop officiating. The family greeted friends at the funeral chapel on Monday from 10 am. until time of the service. Following the service, friends were invited to join the family for a luncheon and fellowship in the Harrington Gathering Room, located at the funeral home.
