CAROL L. GOLDEN's Obituary
CAROL L. GOLDEN, 70, of Sidnaw, MI. passed away at Ontonagon Memorial Hospital long-term care unit Tuesday, July 13, 2004. She was born in Ishpeming, MI. on May 17, 1934 daughter of Pat and Marion G. (Bennet) Thompson. Carol attended Trout Creek, Sidnaw and Ewen schools. In June 1953, she married Robert Golden in Ewen, MI. Carol was a member of Sidnaw United Methodist Church, Telephone Pioneer Club and the 4 Squares Dance Club. She enjoyed being a homemaker, caring for her children, gardening and canning.
Mrs. Golden is survived by her loving husband, Robert, sons, Scott (Cari) Golden of Victor, ID., Kim (Deanna) Golden of Cave Creek, AZ., daughters, Kay Marie (Doug) Clark of Mondovi, WI., Vicki (Bob) Roeth of Dublin, TX., grandchildren, Erin, Eric, Shawn, Mitchell, Kira, Treven, Brandon, Bethany, Shelby, Cynthia, great-grandchildren, Jacob, Ethan, Brianna, Mikayla, her mother, Marion G. Thompson Tollefson of L’Anse, brothers, Tom (Bev) Thompson and Bob (Joan) Thompson both of Sidnaw, sister, Dorothy (Don) Beck also of Sidnaw. Numerous nieces, nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her father, Pat and her brother, Howard.
Funeral services for Mrs. Golden were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 16, 2004 from Sidnaw United Methodist Church, with Pastor John Henry officiating. Interment took place in the Sidnaw Cemetery. The family received friends on Thursday, July 15, 2004 from 7 until 9 p.m. from the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L’Anse and 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Friday .The Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L’Anse has been entrusted with arrangements.
