Carole A. Carlson's Obituary
Carole A. Carlson, age 66, of L'Anse, MI passed away Thursday, August 29, 2019 at her home.
She was born in Duluth, Minnesota on October 13, 1952, the daughter of the late Roland S. and Margie R. (Spexet) Knudsen. Carole graduated from Central High School in Duluth. She married Donald C. “Don” Carlson in Duluth, Minnesota on May 15, 1976. He preceded her in death on December 29, 2018. Carole had been employed by Baraga County Memorial Hospital, L’Anse as a hospice nurse until her retirement. She enjoyed nature, painting and art, finding agates, baking sweets and reading biographies. Carole will be remembered for her patience and helpfulness.
Carole is survived by her loving children, Jessica R. Carlson of Baraga and Adam B. Carlson of Minnesota, two grandchildren, Joshua R. Waisanen and Thomas W. Waisanen both of Baraga, brothers Gene (Gini) Knudsen and Bobby (Julie) Knudsen both of Minnesota, niece Wendy, nephews Bobby, Joey, Edward and Peter. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother Larry.
A family gathering of remembrance will take place at a later time.
