Carolyn J. Perrault's Obituary
Carolyn J. Perrault, age 86, of L’Anse, MI passed away Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital, L’Anse. She was born in Stockbridge, MI on November 6, 1936 the daughter of the late Herbert and Lilah (Carter) Hartsuff. Carolyn graduated from high school in L’Anse in 1962. She married Mark Perrault in 1957 and they raised 5 children. She and Mark divorced in 1977. Carolyn had been employed as a jail matron and retired from Ingham County Sheriff Department. Over the years, Carolyn had raised many foster children. She enjoyed puzzles, playing cards and playing Farkle, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.
Carolyn is survived by her loving children, Daniel (JoAnn) Perrault of California, Kevin (Jayne) Perrault of L’Anse, Kelli Perrault of Baraga, and Kori Perrault of Dimondale, MI, 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, brother David (Ann) Hartsuff of Lansing, MI, sister Linda (Roger) Harris of Kalkaska, MI, and sister-in-law Dawn Hartsuff of Lakeland, FL. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Lisa Kill, brother Nyle Hartsuff and her former husband Mark Perrault.
A visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at the Zeba Hall, Zeba, MI. Father Corey Litzner will officiate Carolyn's funeral service at 1 p.m. Immediately following the funeral service, friends are invited to join the family for fellowship and a luncheon at the hall.
