CORINNE E. "HONEY" NORDSTROM's Obituary
CORINNE E. "HONEY" NORDSTROM, 87, of L'Anse passed away Thursday, January 18, 2007 at Bayside Village, L'Anse following a lengthy illness. She was born in Hancock, MI. on November 13, 1919 the youngest child of the late William T. and Anne (Dooley) Tarbox. Honey attended Hancock schools. She married Irving E. Nordstrom in L'Anse on April 8, 1938 and has been a resident of L'Anse since then. Irving preceded her in death in 1984. Honey was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, L'Anse.
Mrs. Nordstrom is survived by her loving children, William "Bob" (Virginia) Nordstrom of Clio, MI., Thomas (Jennie) Nordstrom, Michael (Evey) Nordstrom, and Stephan Nordstrom all of L'Anse, 8 grandchildren, Kristin (Dan) Zubiena of Laurium, Timothy (Merrill) Nordstrom of Oxford, MS., Stephanie (David) Pirkola, Geoff Nordstrom, Julie (Brian) Kissel, Michael J. Nordstrom Jr., Lisa Nordstrom of L'Anse, and Amber Pelon of Baraga, 9 great grandchildren, Eli and Will Nordstrom of Oxford, MS., Kassidy Pirkola, Kelsey Ross, Lucas, Alex, and Zakary Kissel of L'Anse, and Hunter and Riley Sue Pelon of Baraga. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Corinne Anne Nordstrom, two brothers, William and Raynard Tarbox, and five sisters, Berniece Zachau, Crescence Simonson, Anastacia O’Connell, Mary Kramer, and Dorothy Vollwerth.
Family services for Mrs. Nordstrom were held at the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L'Anse.
