Daniel A. "Bus Driver Dan" Verbanac's Obituary
Daniel A. “Bus Driver Dan” Verbanac, age 60 of L’Anse, MI passed away at his home on Saturday, July 27, 2024 surrounded by his loving sisters. He was born on June 17, 1964 the son of the late Steve and Lillian (Cadotte) Verbanac. Dan graduated from L’Anse High School in 1982. He had been employed with Baragaland Senior Citizen Center as a bus driver and loved his job. Dan was a member of Most Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, Assinins, MI. He loved to read, ride his bike and be outdoors.
Dan is survived by his loving siblings Steve Verbanac of AK, Joe (Rosemary) Verbanac of SD., Robert (Sharon) Verbanac of AZ, Lyle (Colleen) Verbanac of L’Anse, David (Connie) Verbanac of AZ, Dorothy Verbanac of L’Anse, Theresa Velmer of L’Anse, Rita (Larry) Lanham of AZ and Virginia (Billy) Ishida of AZ. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. He is also survived by his close friend Bob and many other friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jerry and Joseph, sister Carol, and nephews Shawn and Michael.
Private family graveside services will be held in the L’Anse Evergreen Cemetery with Father Jins Joseph officiating.
Dan and his family appreciated all the kind words, prayers, cards and sweets he received during his illness.
The Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L’Anse has been entrusted with the graveside services.
