David L. Cella Jr.'s Obituary
David L. Cella, Jr., age 80, of Huron Bay, Michigan, passed away from a sudden heart attack on Saturday, March 28, 2015 in Huron Bay. He was born in Oak Park, Illinois on July 4, 1934 the son of the late David L. and Vera (Peterson) Cella, Sr. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. On June 20, 1979 he married the former Marcy Mollett in Eagle River, Wisconsin.
Dave Cella formed a non-profit organization called “The Lake Superior’s Huron River Restoration Inc.” and worked in conservation projects for the Huron River and was a very active volunteer for many different organizations.
Mr. Cella is survived by his loving wife Marcy, children David L. Cella III from Manitowish Waters, Wisconsin, daughter Kerrie (Paul) Burress of Pueblo, Colorado, step daughter Laurie McKenzie of Laguna Beach, CA and 4 grandchildren. Numerous cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his daughter Kris.
A visitation was held at the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L’Anse on Thursday, April 9, 2015 from 6 until 8 p.m. Interment took place in the Pine Lawn Cemetery in Manitowish Waters, Wisconsin on Friday, April 10, 2015 at 1 p.m.
