DAVID R. MAKI's Obituary
DAVID R. MAKI, 35, of Pelkie, MI. passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at Northstar Health System, Iron River, MI. He was born in L'Anse on April 19, 1974 the son of Raymond and Lorraine (LeClaire) Maki. David graduated from Baraga High School in 1992. He had worked at DesRochers Brothers, Baraga as a welder until he was injured in an automotive accident in 1998. David was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Baraga. He enjoyed 4 wheeling and fishing.
Mr. Maki is survived by his loving family, parents Raymond and Lorraine Maki of Baraga, and sister Wendy Niemela of Calumet. Numerous aunts and uncles also survive. He was preceded in death by several aunts and uncles.
Funeral services for Mr. Maki were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L'Anse with Judy Mattson officiating. The family greeted friends at the funeral chapel on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Following the service, the family invited friends to join them for fellowship and a luncheon in the Harrington Gathering Room, located at the funeral chapel.
