Donald F Uren's Obituary
Donald F. Uren, 86, of L’Anse passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain, MI. He was born in L’Anse MI on February 10, 1929 the son of the late Mills and Anna (Verbanac) Uren. In 1948 he joined the US Army, and served his country until 1951. Donald worked at Celotex as a fabrication operator for many years. He also worked as a logger. Donald enjoyed fishing and hunting
Mr. Uren is survived by 3 daughters and 3 sons; Tracy Schaffer and Lori (John) LaPointe both of Baraga, Lynn Kuemmel (John) Brown of Arlington Heights, Illinois Dan Uren and Don Uren, Jr both of L’Anse and Tim Uren of Covington, grandchildren; Carey Maki, Kristi (Wesley) Simpson, Jason (Kimberly) Wadaga, Colleen Kuemmel, Shane (Rachel) Schaffer and Trevor Uren, great grandchildren; Alex, Preston and Devon Schaffer, Max Simpson and Nolan Wadaga, brother Gary (Tina) Uren and sister Sharon Drew of L’Anse, sisters-in-law Nona Uren, Eva Wren and Christine Uren. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Richard Uren, Kenneth Wren and John Uren.
