DOUGLAS J. MUTTER's Obituary
Douglas J. Mutter, “Dad, Papa”, age 77, of L’Anse passed away November 1, 2014 at Bayside Village. He was born in Auburn Heights, MI on March 10, 1937 the son of the late Robert W. and Stella (Janowick) Mutter. Doug had been employed in the auto industry as a machinist. He was a member of the L’Anse American Legion Post #144. Doug enjoyed watching the Price Is Right and the NFL games. He was a big Lions fan. When he was feeling well enough he would watch Eddie Bice Field play baseball. Doug was “papa” to him. They were best buds. Kathy Bice considered him the best dad you could have.
Doug is survived by his children Robert (Paula) Mutter-Weinmann of Waterford, MI, Jeffrey (Andy) Mutter of Charlotte, NC, Brett (Jennifer) Mutter of White Lake, MI, Pamela (Craig) Mutter-Leinenweaver of Columbia, TN and Katherine Bice of L’Anse, grandchildren Tanya, Paul, Mike, Jessica, Ben, Travis, Brittani and Eddie, brother Ronald Mutter and sister June Byers. He was preceded in death by his sister Ruth Hale and brothers Lyle Mutter and Robert Mutter, Jr.
