My deepest sympathy to Edith's daughters Gladys & Jane. Your mom was my best friend growing up & after her mom died she stayed with my family for 4mos. in Michigamme. We did a lot of things together & always kept in touch with each other over the years. She was a very good friend & I'll treasure the memories we had together. I am sorry I can't come to say goodby because of my health, but you are in my thoughts & prayers.
When I was postmaster in Mass City, Edith and I traveled together several times to postal functions in Green Bay. Edith had a great sense of humor. I have fond memories of Edith.
