ELAINE D. GIBSON's Obituary
ELAINE D. GIBSON, 73, of Alston, MI. passed away Monday, May 22, 2006 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital, L'Anse where she had been a patient for a week. She was born in Alston, MI. on August 24, 1932 daughter of the late Harvey and Lillian (Moilanen) Parkila. Elaine graduated from Baraga High School in 1950. She married Henry Gibson on October 4, 1952 in Waukegan, IL He preceded her in death on December 14, 2002. Elaine loved birds and dogs, and enjoyed gardening.
Mrs. Gibson is survived by her loving children, Lloyd Gibson of Alston, MI., Thomas Gibson of Anderson, SC., and Kathryn Gibson of Austin, TX. She was preceded in death by her brother, Marvin in 1962.
A remembrance luncheon for Mrs. Gibson is scheduled for Sunday, June 25, 2006 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Alston Town Hall. The community is invited to bring a dish to pass, coffee will be provided.
