Elvira M. Kinnunen's Obituary
Elvira M. Kinnunen, age 83, of Keweenaw Bay, MI passed away Friday, November 29, 2019 at Canal View - Houghton County. Elvira was born in Fraser, MI on March 26, 1936. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Rose (Lietz) Ahrens. Elvira graduated from Fraser High School. She married John Kinnunen on August 7, 1954 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Fraser. He preceded her in death on September 11, 2006. Elvira enjoyed working on puzzles, coloring, cutting the grass, gardening and dancing.
Elvira is survived by her loving family, daughters Sue (Duane) Rhodd of New Haven, MI and Kim (Roy) Winkler of Chesterfield Twp., MI, grandson Garrick Lamb of Keweenaw Bay, great grandchildren Shelby and Haily Lamb of Keweenaw Bay, 2 nephews and 1 niece. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John and her sister Kathleen.
Spring interment and graveside services were held at 10 am, Friday, April 24, 2020 in the Keweenaw Bay Cemetery.
