To the ill of Buck Collins:
It has been many years since I left L'Anse but I mist the area. When I was a student at the University of Michigan Medical School we were allowed to vacation for three weeks in our Junior year at a place and time of our choosing. I opted to come home in October because of the beauty at that time of year and partridge season was just starting.. Kelly
Selden contacted me to go hunting and for several days he and Buck fetched me in the refurbished Model T to drive the country roads. A few sandwiches, a beer or two, endless laughs were the highlight of those wonderful days. Those two funny , kind men gave me the most wonderful vacation I could ever recall. I was refreshed to go back to complete the hard work of two more years in medical school. Now Buck and Kelly are both gone. I miss them still.

Quiet but a super nice guy! I loved cleaning for him when he lived at the Bluffs!
Grandpa Foozy lived with him in Milwaukee for 4 years together !! He said he never met a nicer person & he is saddened that he's gone. They hunted, fished & ran together like best friend !! He will be missed & I am so glad we were so close ! God Bless ❤️
