ERNEST T. "ERNIE" SAARI, 83, of Elo, MI. passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital, L'Anse following a lengthy illness. He was born in Elo, MI. on September 4, 1925 the son of the late Jacob and H Read Obituary
Jim: It was nice meeting your Mom last Thurs. in the restaurant - I felt so bad for you both when you told me your Dad had passed away. I know how hard it is & can only tell you from my experience that the 'waves' of grief & sadness will come and go at the strangest times but so will the good, happy memories.

i knew ernie through my father waino esa keippela
of elo and i know my dad considered ernie a good friend.
ernie went out of his way to transport me to and
from work for an extended period of time while i worked at pettibone in the late 70s for which i am thankful.
i will allways remember his fondness for country music fortuneatly i shared this interest.
i purchased a wood stove for my basement which of course was crafted by ernie and i was always proud to tell people who made it.
i pray that you will take comfort in the great memories you have of ernie.
