Eugene A Loonsfoot II's Obituary
Eugene A. Loonsfoot, II, age 44, of L’Anse, passed away Monday, June 12, 2017 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital, L’Anse. He was born in L’Anse on June 11, 1973 the son of Eugene Loonsfoot and Carol Maki. Eugene graduated from L’Anse High School in 1993. He had worked in the maintenance department at the Ojibwa Casino. Eugene was a member of KBIC and was a KBIC Beartown Wildland Firefighter for over 18 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and 4 wheeling. He loved spending time with his children and family.
Eugene is survived by his loving family, wife Patti of L’Anse, children Eugene III, Kiersten and Machai Loonsfoot all of L’Anse, mother Carol (David) Wettberg of L’Anse, father Eugene (Katie) Loonsfoot of Baraga, brother Brian Loonsfoot of Green Bay, WI, sisters Erin Loonsfoot of Green Bay, WI, Jaimee Loonsfoot of Baraga, Angela Loonsfoot of Baraga, Diana Carlson of Zeba, Nevaeh Loonsfoot of Baraga, step sisters Sandy Meadows of Green Bay, WI and Chris Kagabitang of Green Bay, WI. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his sister Kelly Carlson.
Memorial services for Eugene will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, June 22, 2017 at the Zeba Hall. A luncheon will be held immediately following the service.
