Eunice Janet Dove's Obituary
Eunice J. Dove, age 87, of Skanee, passed away Friday, January 8, 2016 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital, L’Anse surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Hancock, Michigan on April 18, 1928, the daughter of the late Oscar and Esther (Peterson) Elmblad. Eunice attended Skanee and L’Anse area schools. She married Robert M. “Bob” Dove in Baraga on November 29, 1952. He preceded her in death on May 22, 2008. Eunice had been Postmaster for 10 years in Skanee until her retirement. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and a former member of the Skanee Fireflies Softball Team. Eunice enjoyed quilting, knitting and genealogy. She loved to make family pictures, videos and quilts.
Mrs. Dove is survived by her loving sons, Paul (Patti) Dove of L’Anse, Peter Dove of Superior, Wisconsin and Patric (Kristen) Dove of Skanee. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her siblings Donald, Kermit, Lowell, Roderick and Joyce.

Please join the family of Eunice Dove in the celebration of her life at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at the Skanee Cemetery, Skanee, Michigan with Pastor Judy Mattson officiating. Following the service, the family invites friends to join them for fellowship and a luncheon at the Zion Lutheran Church, Skanee.
