FERN RUTH CADEAU's Obituary
Fern Ruth Cadeau was 79 years old when the good Lord called her to come rest beside her husband Gabriel on March 10, 2014. She was born May 19, 1934 in Marquette, Michigan to Henry & Margaret McMaster. After, Fern married Joseph Gabriel Cadeau (Gabe) they lived briefly in California. To be closer to family they moved to Pelkie, MI. As their family grew they moved to Topaz, MI. where she raised eleven children. She was dedicated to her family. They were members of St Ann's Catholic Church in Bergland, MI. Fern enjoyed gardening, swimming, playing cards, reading, crocheting, knitting, baking, bargain shopping, animals, camping & fishing. In her younger days she rode the horses & motorcycle and in her later years she cruised around town on her scooter. Fern had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed traveling in her later years.

Mass was held at 11 am on Monday, March 17th at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Baraga with Father Nick Thompson, celebrant. The visitation was at Reid Funeral Service & Chapel, L'Anse on Sunday, March 16th (6 - 8 pm). Deacon John Cadeau conducted a prayer service at 7:30 pm. Spring burial will take place in the Baraga Cemetery. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, the family suggests contributions be directed to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
