FRANCES C. BENNINK's Obituary
FRANCES C. BENNINK, 85, of Baraga passed away suddenly Friday, September 11, 2009 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital. She was born in Ewen, MI. on February 8, 1924 the daughter of the late Alan and Marion (Lasinski) Bolton. Frances graduated from L'Anse High School. She married Otto Bennink in Toledo, Ohio on December 17, 1971. Frances was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Baraga. In her earlier years she enjoyed bowling and more recently spending time at the casino.
Mrs. Bennink is survived by her loving husband Otto of Baraga, son Patrick (Joyce) Field of L'Anse, grandchildren Pat Jr., Jason A., Christopher, and Gerald Field, great grandchildren Marissa, Christie, Charles, Emma, Edward, Veronica, and Jennifer, brother Rodney (Barbara) Bolton of L'Anse.
A memorial service for Mrs. Bennink was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 19, 2009 at the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L'Anse with Father John Longbucco officiating. The family received friends at the funeral chapel on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will take place in the L'Anse Evergreen Cemetery. Memorials in Mrs. Bennink's honor may be directed to St. Vincent DePaul Society.
