I know this a late posting, but I did a google search for Francis and found the news of his passing . I knew and worked with Francis back in the late 70s early 80s at International Transport. He had his double bunk cabover Kenworth. We hauled a couple of wide loads from Bayport Texas op to an oil refinery in Richmond CA. We were both on heavy haul division and always had refidgerators, cook stoves, you name it in case we had to shut down in some rest area.On the way into Van Horn Texas,Francis called me on the cb to swing thru town and get something to cook up for supper. When I pulled in to the truck stop parking lot,Francic had the hibachi fired up and the blody Marie's ready.Back in 2012 while camping at the Porkies,I met someone from the area who knew Francis and told me he was in Alston.I found where he was living, but he just had cataract surgery and but showed me the articles from the French newspapers about his hauling the airplane fuselage from the states to France, including a photo of him dressed in a French police uniform. Keep On Trucking Francis. Al Batten,Internaltional Transport 9504.
