GARY W. ST. ONGE's Obituary
Gary W. St. Onge, 58 of L'Anse, passed away Friday, December 24, 2004 in the Baraga County Memorial Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit following a lengthy illness. Gary was born in Hancock, MI., March 26, 1946, son of Willard and Margaret (Clyne) St. Onge. He graduated from Eben High School and attended Mich Tech University where he majored in forestry. He worked for a number of years downstate for General Motors, then spent 15 years in Milwaukee in the roofing business. He returned to L'Anse in 1980. Gary attended the United Lutheran Church in L'Anse, was an avid bowler and enjoyed fishing, hunting and the outdoors. Gary is survived by his loving mother Margaret of L'Anse, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Gary was preceded in death by his father Willard in 2002 and brothers Kevin and Roger. Funeral services for Mr. St. Onge were held at 11 a.m. Monday,, December 27, 2004, from the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel L'Anse. The family received friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel. Pastor John Henry officiated and spring burial will be in the L'Anse Evergreen Cemetery. Following the services, friends were invited to join the family for fellowship and a luncheon in the Harrington Gathering Room, located at the funeral home.
