GAYLORD E. HAMM's Obituary
GAYLORD E. HAMM, 98, of L'Anse, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2011 at the Covington Rest Home. He was born in Ontonagon, MI. on September 26, 1912 the son of the late Elmer and Lottie (Stevens) Hamm. Gaylord attended school in Ontonagon. He had worked in the White Pine Mine until his retirement. Gaylord married the former Garnett Fisher. She preceded him in death. He was a member of United Lutheran Church, L’Anse.
Mr. Hamm is survived by his sons LeRoy Hamm of Pelkie, Jack (Debbie) Hamm of Agate Beach, Toivola, and daughter Audrey Skillett of Texas, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, brother Lawrence Hamm of Ontonagon, and sister Gladys Perrino of California. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, and 3 brothers.
Spring interment will take place in the L’Anse Evergreen Cemetery. Memorials in Mr. Hamm's honor may be directed to the Copper Country Humane Society.
