HAZEL MARIE JESTILA's Obituary
HAZEL MARIE JESTILA, age 82, of Scottville, MI . and formerly of L’Anse, passed away Monday, December 13, 2004 at Mercy General Hospital in Muskegon, MI., following an illness of several months. She had resided in Scottville for the last 3 years. She was born in Lake Nebagamon, WI. on May 4, 1922 daughter of the late John and Augusta (Bahm) Carr. Hazel graduated from L’Anse High School. She was a waitress for many years in L’Anse. On August 13, 1966 she married James Jestila in Hancock, MI. Hazel enjoyed being outdoors, camping and working on cross word puzzles. She will be missed by her dog, Spanky.
Mrs. Jestila is survived by her loving husband, James Jestila, children; Michael (Jeanene) Sanregret of L’Anse, Daniel (Jan) Sanregret of Scottville, MI., and Francis “Frank” (Vicki) Sanregret of L’Anse, 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and sister; Sadie Good of Florida. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Floyd, Vern, Maurice, Earl and Charles.
Funeral services for Mrs. Jestila were held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 17, 2004 at the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L’Anse with Father Chacko officiating. Spring interment will take place in the L’Anse Evergreen Cemetery. The family received friends at the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel on Friday, December 17, 2004 from 12 noon until time of the service. Following the service, the family invited friends to join them for fellowship and luncheon in the Harrington Gathering room, located at the funeral home. The Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L’Anse has been entrusted with funeral arrangements. Mrs. Jestila’s obituary may also be viewed and condolences sent to the family at www.rfsc.net.
