HILJA MAKI , 98, of Nisula passed away Wednesday evening March 11, 2009 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital , L'Anse She had been a patient there for a week. Hilja was born in Simar, MI. on May 16 1910 the daughter of the late John Read Obituary

My sympathies to you and your family in this time of loss. I always appreciated the things you did for me while I was growing up without my mother and I know it is difficult to lose your mother no matter what age. God's peace to you at this time of sorrow.

Joyce: I was so sorry to read about your Mom's death. I will always remember your Mom and all the times we visited back and forth at each other's homes and the many times we traveled to basketball games. You are lucky to have had your Mom still with you for so long - not many people live to be 98. You are in my thoughts and prayers at this sad time. Judy
