INEZ P. CHARRON's Obituary
INEZ P. CHARRON, 84, of L’Anse, passed away March 17, 2004 quietly at home with her loving family at her side after a long courageous battle with cancer. Inez was born in Pequaming, MI. on July 18, 1919 daughter of the late Albert and Ruth (Johnson) Olson. As a young girl Inez attended L’Anse area schools and graduated with the class of 1938. On May 23, 1943 she married Edward Charron at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in L’Anse. He preceded her in death in 1998. Together, they built and operated the L’Anse Motel until they retired in 1973. Inez loved traveling, enjoyed winters in Florida, trips to Alaska, and traveling abroad. She especially enjoyed rides and picnics in the woods, and loved to pick rocks. Inez was the queen of shopping and had a passion for beautiful jewelry. She was in everyway an elegant lady, and was kind to everyone.
Mrs. Charron is survived by her loving children, Michael (Mary) Charron of Skanee, Jeanene (Michael) Sanregret, Colleen (Lyle) Verbanac and Diane Charron all of L’Anse, grandchildren, Mick, Tony, Stacey, Tim, Mike, Mark, Jamie, and Kelli, great-grandchildren, Taylor, Zachary, Alec, Michael, Jenny, Janaya, and Josh, a special friend and brother-in-law, Curtis Menard of L’Anse and sister-in-law, Vi Charron of Marshfield, WI. She is also survived by many special nieces and nephews. Inez was preceded in death by a grandson, Shawn Verbanac, brother Harris Olson and sister June Menard.

Spring interment will take place in the L’Anse Evergreen Cemetery. The family received friends at the funeral chapel on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service. Following the service, friends were invited to join the family for fellowship and luncheon in the Harrington Gathering room, located at the funeral home. The Superior Home Nursing and Hospice assisted the family during Inez's illness. The Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L’Anse has been entrusted with her funeral arrangements.
