INGRID C. SHRINER's Obituary
INGRID C. SHRINER, 79, of L’Anse, MI. passed away Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Bayside Village, L’Anse. She was born September 4, 1931 in Detroit to the late Oswald and Selma (Newman) Hebold. Mrs. Shriner graduated from Lincoln High School in Warren, MI in 1949. She then attended the Cosmetology Training Center in Redford, MI. On March 29, 1952, she married Robert Shriner in Detroit, MI. He preceded her in death in 1976. Ingrid was employed by the Chrysler Corporation as a secretary until her retirement. She moved to the Pequaming, L’Anse area in 1989. Ingrid was a former Girl and Boy Scout leader, den mother, and a member of the Western Upper Peninsula Health Access Coalition. She was a lover of music, and was an accomplished accordion and piano player. She enjoyed bowling at the Whirl-I-Gig, fishing, skiing, the casino and motorcycles.
Ingrid is survived by her loving children, Robert Shriner of Ferndale, MI, Ingrid (Don) Shriner Ward of Taylor, MI., grandchildren Donald and Harmony, and brother Kenneth (Shirley) Hebold of Homosassa, FL., along with many friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Shriner were held Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at 11 a.m. from the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L’Anse with Pastor Judy Mattson officiating. Interment took place in the Pequaming Cemetery. The family received friends at the funeral chapel on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
