ISABELLE L. HARDES's Obituary
ISABELLE L. “BELLE” HARDES, age 86, of L’Anse passed away Thursday, March 10, 2005 at Bayside Village, L’Anse following a lengthy illness. She was born in Ontonagon, MI. on November 8, 1918 daughter of the late George and May (Rehaume) Beauprey. Belle attended Covington and Kenton schools. She worked in WI. and Sidnaw, MI. as a waitress from 1942 and retired in 1972. Belle married Leland Hardes in Ewen, MI. He preceded her in death in 1981. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Sidnaw. Belle enjoyed reading, gardening, and traveling. She had a fondness for clothing, especially hats.
Mrs. Hardes is survived by her brother, Fred “Fritz” (Lorraine) Beauprey of Sidnaw, and sister-in-law; Evelyn Beauprey of Sidnaw. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers, and 1 sister.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hardes were held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2005 at the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L’Anse with Father Chacko officiating. Spring interment will take place in the Sidnaw Cemetery. The family received friends at the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel on Friday, March 11, 2005 from 5 p.m. until time of the service. The Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L’Anse has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
