Jacqueline 'Jackie" K. Loonsfoot's Obituary
On Friday, September 20, 2024 Jacqueline "Jackie" Kay (Evans, Holley) Loonsfoot, passed away at the age of 62 from a short but courageous battle with Small Cell lung cancer. She was born in Smiths Grove, KY on November 19, 1961, the daughter of the late William "Billy" Joe Evans and late Naomi Eliza Coons. The early years of her life were nothing short of challenging but she persevered and at the age of twenty, with three children in tow, she moved to Baraga. She earned her High School Diploma through Baraga High School and throughout the years held a variety of jobs. Some of her favorites were being a childcare provider, Blackjack dealer, waitress at Lakeside, Bartender and co-running R-Place Cafe when it was in business. Some of her hobbies included the Bowling League and Women’s Softball league. She had a giving heart, a loud infectious laugh, stubborn soul, energetic spirit, and love for her surroundings and the people within it. She always said the thing she was most proud of was being a mom to her children.
She is survived by her children Amber Houston (James Morton), Jessica Luke (Cody DePetro), Bobby Holley (Stefanie), and Gary Loonsfoot Jr. (Peggy). She is also survived by her Aunt Brenda Schroader, sister Lisa Leger, and many cherished grandchildren, relatives and friends and her dog Tank.
