JAMES S. "JIM" TAYLOR's Obituary
JAMES S. "JIM" TAYLOR, 67, of L'Anse, passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2006 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital. He was born in Detroit, MI. on October 4, 1938, son of the late George W. and Helen E. (Ziegler) Taylor. He graduated from high school in Detroit and then served in the US Army from 1962 until 1965. Jim worked for Pettibone Corp. as a machinist until his retirement. He resided in L'Anse for the past 1/½ years.
Mr. Taylor is survived by his children, Jerry Lancour of Florida, Shawn Taylor of California, Karlee (Jim) Usimaki of Ishpeming, and stepson, Scott Toone, grandchildren, Marcia, Chris, Scotty, Jay, Wendy, Alyssa, Kayla, Lacey, great-grandchildren, Haley, Kyle and Jacob, and nephew, Fred Soto.
Funeral services for Mr. Taylor were held at 1 p.m. Friday, September 8, 2006 at the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L'Anse with Judy Mattson officiating. The family received friends on Friday from 11 a.m. until time of the service. Memorials to the family may be directed in care of the funeral home. The Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L'Anse has been entrusted with arrangements.
