JANNET H. JACOBSON's Obituary
JANNET H. JACOBSON, age 70, of Watton, MI passed away Thursday, April 3, 2014 at her residence with her family by her side. She was born in Fairgrove, MI on May 18, 1943, the daughter of the late George and Opal (Langford) Kranstz. Jannet attended school in Akron, MI. She married Robert Jacobson at Trinity Lutheran Church, Covington. Jannet worshiped at Bethany Lutheran Church, Covington. She enjoyed baking, cooking, she had cooked for Michigan Tech for over ten years, crocheting, listening to country music, and spending time with her grandchildren. Jannet’s family was very important to her.
Mrs. Jacobson is survived by her loving husband Robert, children Charles (JoEllen) Webb of Covington, Rebecca (Wayne) Murphy of Macon, MO, and Jannet (Leonard) Mercer of Covington, 5 grandchildren, Robert (Brooke) Murphy, Joseph (Britney) Martin, Paul (Heather) Murphy, Jessica and Laura Webb, 2 great grandchildren, brother William (Jean) Kranstz, and sister Georgia (Dave) Muncy. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother-in-law Russell Jacobson.
Funeral services for Mrs. Jacobson were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L’Anse with Pastor Peter Suomela officiating. Spring interment will take place in the Covington Cemetery. The family greeted friends on Monday, April 7, 2014 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L’Anse, and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Following the funeral service, the family invited friends to join them for fellowship and a luncheon at Bethany Lutheran Church, Covington.
