JEREMY A. BUDREAU's Obituary
JEREMY A. BUDREAU, age17, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2003 as a result of a boating accident on Otter Lake along with his best friend and cousin, Jake Swanson. He was born September 2, 1986, in L’Anse, MI. son of Stanley J. and Joyce (Myllyla) Budreau. Jeremy was a lifelong resident and attended Baraga Area High School. Jeremy was a member of Mission United Lutheran Church. He was also a member of the Mission United Lutheran Youth Group. Jeremy loved hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, snowmobiling, and swimming. He was a volunteer worker splitting firewood for the Pelkie Fire Department and the Baraga County Fair. He enjoyed helping his grandparents, family and neighbors.
Jeremy is the beloved son of Stanley and Joyce Budreau, brother of Jessica Budreau, at home, maternal grandparents Melvin and Nancy Myllyla of Arnheim, paternal grandparents John and Eunice Budreau of Pelkie, aunts and uncles; David and Liz Myllyla of Marathon City, WI. , Betty and John Kenyon of Simi Valley, CA., Diane Swanson of Arnheim, Janet and Mark Miller of Arnheim, Keith and Debbie Budreau of Hartford, WI., Dave and Marti Budreau of Decatur, IN., Diane and Pat Duguay of Blaine, MN., cousins, which were like brothers and sisters to him, Timmy, Troy, Keith Paul, Joey, Danielle, Nicole, Marie, Kara, “J.D.”, Andrew, Tristan, Taylor, Victoria, and Brett. Numerous great-aunts, uncles, and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, and Aunt Debbie.
The funeral service for Jeremy and Jake was held on Thursday, October 9, 2003 at 2 p.m. at the Mission United Lutheran Church, Pelkie. Visitations were held at Mission United Lutheran Church on Wednesday, October 8, 2003 from 5-8 p.m. and Thursday from 1-2 p.m. Rev. Michael Laakko will officiate. Pallbearers for Jeremy will be, Keith Budreau, Dave Budreau, Mark Miller, Pat Duguay, Mike Harkonen and Shawn Tapani. Burial took place in the Askel Cemetery.
