JoAnn Elizabeth Mleko (Banbury)'s Obituary
JoAnn Elizabeth Mleko (Banbury) age 72 of Baraga, Michigan passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital, L’Anse. She was born in 1951 to Harry and Dorothy Banbury (Hirt). In 1976, she married Charles Mleko and they had two children.
JoAnn grew up in White Pine where she graduated from high school. She attended and graduated from Northern Michigan University. Baraga Area School was her only teaching assignment, teaching for 33 years and subbing for another 13.
She is survived by her loving children, son Charles Mleko and daughter Lisa (Jason) Dulany. She is also survived by sisters Jane (William) Gray and Cathy (Mark) Pierpont, and one precious granddaughter Sarah Dulany. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her brother Gary.
A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
The Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L'Anse has been entrusted with the arrangements.
