JOSEPHINE M. MIHELICH's Obituary
JOSEPHINE M. MIHELICH, 94, of L'Anse, passed away at Bayside Village, L'Anse Wednesday, January 17, 2007 following a lengthy illness. She had been a resident at Bayside for 2 years. Josephine was born in Dollar Bay, MI. on September 6, 1912 daughter of the late Thomas and Katherine (Yaeger) Bobich. She attended school in L'Anse. Josephine married John Mihelich and he preceded her in death in 1997. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, L'Anse. Josephine enjoyed baking, making pasties, rummage sales, visiting friends, and rides in the woods. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Mihelich is survived by her loving children, Tony (Ilene) LaPlante of Baraga, John Mihelich of Muskegon, MI., and Helen Stein of L'Anse, 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 15 great great grandchildren, and brother, Anthony Bobich of Kalamazoo, MI. She was preceded in death by 1 son, 2 grandsons, and 7 brothers.
Funeral services for Mrs. Mihelich were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, January 20, 2007 from the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L'Anse with Father Augustin George officiating. Spring interment will take place in the L'Anse Evergreen Cemetery. The family received friends at the funeral chapel on Saturday from 1 p.m. until time of the service. Following the service, the family invited friends to join them for fellowship and luncheon in the Harrington Gathering room, located at the funeral home.
