KELLY R. ERICKSON's Obituary
KELLY R. ERICKSON, age 38, of Skanee, MI passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, April 22, 2014. Kelly was born in L’Anse on December 24, 1975, the son of Kelly and Joanne (Soli) Erickson. Kelly graduated from L’Anse High School in 1994. He was a pipefitter for numerous construction companies, and also worked for P.J. LeCLaire Logging seasonally. Kelly was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, and Pipefitters Union 111. He enjoyed 4-wheeling, riding in the woods, guns, and fishing. Kelly loved being on his speed boat.
Kelly is survived by his loving parents, Kelly and Joanne Erickson, his grandmother Delores Soli, uncles Whitey (Nancy) Soli, and Daniel (Jeri) Soli, aunts Mary Dee (Richard) Schmitz, Elaine (David) Whitman, and Jane (Denny) Roy. Numerous cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Richard and Marian Erickson, and maternal grandfather Ralph Soli, and uncles Gary, Jon, Ricky, and Roger.
Funeral services for Kelly were held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at the Reid Funeral Service and Chapel, L’Anse with Pastor Peter Suomela officiating. The family greeted friends at the funeral chapel on Thursday from 4 pm. until the time of the service. Interment will take place in the Skanee Cemetery.
