Leah Irene Harding, a life-long resident of Nisula, Michigan, was declared presumed deceased by a court of law on July 12, 2023. Leah was last seen alive on April 30, 2015. The investigation surrounding her disappearance and suspected murder remains ongoing.
Leah was born on July 16, 1983 in L'Anse, Michigan. She lived a remarkable life and was a living embodiment of SISU. She was a happy-go-lucky, laid-back, loving person whose smiling eyes, distinct laugh, and friendly demeanor lit up every room she entered. She enjoyed camping, bonfires, rock hounding, snowmobiling, the casino, coffee, and spending quality time with friends and family. Above all, she always lent a helping hand, a listening ear, and an open heart to anyone in need and was deeply devoted and fiercely loyal to her family and wide circle of friends. Leah's life exemplified what family, friendship, and love are all about.
Leah is missed by many and will be loved forever. Survivors include her beloved daughter Carly Liuska of Nisula, Michigan; her mother and best friend Camie Harding of Nisula, Michigan; her father William (Sandy) Harding of Wolverine, Michigan; her brothers Michael Harding of Denver, Colorado and Jeffrey Harding of Gaylord, Michigan; her sister Jeanne Liuska of Calumet, Michigan as well as nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
No funeral is planned at this time; however, everyone wishing to pay tribute to Leah is invited and encouraged to share memories, stories, pictures, and the like on the online memorial page listed below. This site will also serve as a way for Leah's daughter to learn more about her mother whose all too short but well lived life touched and continues to touch the lives of so many people.
"And though you've walked through Heaven's gate, we're never far apart, for every time I think of you, you're right here deep within my heart."
