Laila, you may not remember me, but I am the granddaughter of August and Anna Alatalo of Coburntown, who were dear friends of your parents, Kalle and Maija Maki. I remember visiting their farm with my parents, Einard(Milly) and Aili Kilpela Alatalo, and even staying there once for about a week with Elaine Koski. For whatever reason, when I was reading through the obituaries, the name Majeski rang a bell, and I thought of the Makis, and sure enough, it was you. I wasn't at your wedding, but I do remember hearing about you getting married. I am sorry for your loss and pray that God will comfort you with His presence and peace. Love, Kathleen Alatalo Schuck
ps I lost touch with Elaine many years ago, but I heard she used to visit my godmother, Sophie Simila Kuja. We just never managed to be there at the same time. We lived downstate for over 40 years, but we're living in Marquette now, my husband's hometown.
